A former British soldier who took Ukrainian residency and citizenship, joined the Ukrainian Marines, and fought at Mariupol in the same brigade as Ievgen Malik. Captured and held by Russia, he was sentenced to death before being released in a prisoner exchange.

A very famous Marine — a British former British soldier who joined the Ukrainian Marines, got his residence and citizenship here in Ukraine, and fought for Ukraine in 2022 alongside Ievgen in a different unit in the same brigade at the Battle of Mariupol. And they got to know each other in Russian captivity.
